ETQ Reaches Record-Breaking Milestones in First-Half 2021

 Launches Reliance NXG,  Industry’s First Cloud-Native QMS; Adds Enterprise Software Veteran Jamie Fernandes to Senior Management Team; Expands Customer Base

 BURLINGTON, Mass. — Aug. 31, 2021 ETQ, the leading quality management system (QMS) provider, today announced that it has achieved several record-breaking milestones in the first-half of 2021. The company added  industry-first new features and capabilities to its recently launched cloud-native QMS, Reliance NXG and appointed enterprise software industry veteran, Jamie Fernandes to its senior management team. ETQ also added strategic new accounts in a range of industries like life sciences, electronics and appliance manufacturing, heavy industry, and food and beverage, welcoming organizations such as Bosch, Mass General Brigham and Keurig Dr. Pepper to the Reliance family. The company also instituted its first Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) program, to enhance a culture of inclusiveness for its diverse base of employees.

 Launch of Reliance NXG and Expanding Capabilities

In April of this year, ETQ launched its most innovative and advanced QMS to date. ETQ Reliance NXG is a fully cloud-native SaaS offering that optimizes quality processes, while reducing technology and business risk at the same time. Reliance NXG is a comprehensive and proven platform that builds on the QMS’s legendary agility to deliver new levels of usability, flexibility, scalability and visibility. Now, it is even easier for Reliance customers’ quality management systems to adapt quickly to the digital transformation agenda, the ever-changing needs of the business, and supply chain disruptions.

Already in use by enterprise and mid-market customers across a wide variety of industry verticals, ETQ has outlined an aggressive and comprehensive Reliance NXG roadmap of advanced new features and functionality that will be rolled out through the remainder of 2021 and 2022 as part of its continuous release cycle. The company’s most recent update – available in September – further extends Reliance NXG’s usability and flexibility. Users gain additional productivity features and administrators have access to enhanced configuration and security tools.

Key features being introduced, include:

  • Expanded type-ahead for keyword selection fields for easier and more efficient data entry
  • Dynamic scalability to handle peak usage and data as QMS and business needs evolve
  • Advanced caching for faster, smoother end user responsiveness and QMS performance, no matter where the global business is operating
  • Enhanced Mobile app with push notification and deep linking to allow all QMS tasks to be performed remotely and efficiently

 Appointment of VP, Product Development

ETQ recently appointed Jamie Fernandes, VP, Product Development, responsible for guiding the evolution of the Reliance product portfolio, as well as expanding the company’s product management team.

Fernandes brings more than 20 years’ experience in Software as a Service (SaaS), marketing automation, human capital management (HCM) platforms, Product Portfolio Management (PPM) and cybersecurity, in various roles. Prior to ETQ he held senior-level product positions with Mimecast, Sophos, Sermo and other technology companies.

 Expanding Customer Base

ETQ expanded its diverse customer base during the first half of 2021 with the addition of new industry-leading companies in a variety of sectors – from industrial and energy suppliers to food & beverage firms and automotive manufacturers. New customers include Asahi Kasei, BioHorizons, Bosch, Howmet Aerospace, Incora and Keurig Dr. Pepper. In addition, existing customers, such as A.O. Smith, Brammer Bio, Cree, Drink Pak, EcoLab, Ipsen, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and KBI Biopharma expanded their use of ETQ Reliance in their quality and safety programs.

Corporate DEIB Program, Other Initiatives

As part of its commitment to employees and customers, ETQ recently rolled out a comprehensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) program that recognizes the unique and important differences and contributions of each employee. As part of the program the company conducted employee surveys and polls to gain a greater understanding of their needs, frustrations and individual experiences. It also has established new processes for recruiting, recognition and advancement to help ensure a diverse, inclusive workplace with equal opportunity where all employees know they belong and can contribute to their fullest potential. The program initially conducted bias awareness training and will soon establish mentoring programs and employee resource groups for all employees with more programs planned.

Recognizing the personal needs of employees, ETQ is planning to operate in a hybrid work model for the foreseeable future.  This model will afford ETQ employees the flexibility to work from home and/or ETQ’s global offices, ensuring both the current levels of outstanding productivity as well the work-life balance.

New and Enhanced Customer Experience Programs

The company continued to extend its market-leading customer experience programs in the first half of 2021. During the period, ETQ launched its Reliance NXG Migration Center of Excellence (COE), a comprehensive service to help ETQ customers seamlessly transition to the cloud-native experience of Reliance NXG. The Center of Excellence ensures ETQ implementation and support professionals work closely with customers to preserve prior investments in quality management processes and configurations during a carefully planned, well-conceived and deliberate migration process.  The combination of Reliance NXG and this customer-centric COE distinguishes ETQ from industry competitors that have forced customers to suffer the consequences of technical discontinuities in their vendor product roadmaps.

Additionally, ETQ Academy, the company’s online and live customer training platform, reached new milestones in the first half of the year. To date, Academy has delivered more than 225,000 course completions and 2,450 certifications earned by customers. The Academy course catalog now has more than 350 courses on ETQ’s products and services.  Meanwhile, ETQ Community, a peer-to-peer online gathering spot for customers and partners, now supports more than 725 separate discussion threads and Community members have earned over 400 achievement badges to use and display as they see fit.
