FARMINGDALE, NY (07-27-07): EtQ has announced the implementation of EtQ Quality Management System at Boeing Oak Ridge, builders of gas centrifuge components for uranium-enrichment.
It was Boeing Oak Ridge's need to implement a holistic, centralized quality system and implement a software platform that would allow them to manage an enterprise quality management system, with the ability to integrate with their existing business systems, and automate otherwise manual processes. EtQ was selected not only for their ability to automate key processes such as Corrective and Preventive Action, Auditing, Calibration and Material Returns, but to also integrate with their ERP, MRP systems to provide a seamless and efficient process.
"Boeing Oak Ridge has been able to recognize the key needs for integrating and automating a quality system, and came to EtQ for help in providing a robust, configurable environment for their business," says Glenn McCarty, CEO of EtQ. "Using Integration management tools and EtQ Designer, Boeing will be able to link their ERP to EtQ, and be able to configure the software to match their existing business processes, without programming."
Boeing Oak Ridge is just one of many businesses in the aerospace field adopting a seamless enterprise quality management system that not only incorporates quality to the business, but also ties in safety management as well.
