ETQ Proud to Achieve Front Runner Status in LNS Study of Enterprise Quality Management Software

LNS Research just published results of its Enterprise Quality Management Software (EQMS) Solution Selection Matrix 2025 and we’re proud of our standing as a “front runner.”

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, “a front-runner is a contestant who runs best when in the lead, or a leading contestant in a rivalry or competition.” Given this definition, it’s quite an honor.

As part of the study, LNS Research looked closely at the competitive landscape and evaluated the enterprise quality management systems of 16 vendors. ETQ was only one of four companies to achieve Front-Runner status.

Teaching Customers How to EQMS

Some of the findings from LNS Research included comments, such as “ETQ is one of the more advanced software providers in the EQMS space”; and that “ETQ Reliance has extensive configurability, an extensive application library and a seamless user experience.” One response, however shared by multiple customers stood out. They said that ETQ’s approach to implementation is more ‘teach me to fish’ than ‘give me a fish.’

At ETQ, we’ve always been committed to helping customers not only leverage the vast capabilities of ETQ Reliance, but also to reimagine new ways of building quality excellence into everything they do. From the manufacturing floor to the boardroom, ETQ Reliance is driving the evolution of quality management from a point solution to a data-enabled, integrated business process management platform.

What does it mean to teach a customer how to implement quality management instead of just giving them a solution? It means partnering with customers to ensure a smooth and fast QMS implementation, but more importantly, one that matches their unique business needs and processes. It also means providing on-demand training and a peer community that lets them learn at their own pace—and from each other. Another way to teach them how to maximize their EQMS is by providing them with a solution that is also adaptable for their evolving needs. And, as always, for customers who need support, it means providing it through an in-house team of quality management systems professionals.

While thorough analysis from leading researchers like LNS Research provides a comprehensive overview of the competitive landscape for enterprise quality management systems, the impact of our solution is apparent to us every day through the success of our customers. Companies like Kimberly Clark have experienced an 80 percent improvement in new product introduction cycle times. Lumileds saved $700,000 each year in quality operating costs and Wabtec saved $10 million in productivity gains over nine years.

Competition Breeds Innovation

Each of the 16 vendors included in the Enterprise Quality Management Software (EQMS) Solution Selection Matrix 2025 is playing a role in driving the evolution of EQMS across many industries – from life sciences and automotive, to food & beverage and electronics. As rising product recalls, a labor shortage impacting all manufacturing sectors, rising trade tariffs and globalization add to manufacturing complexity and challenges, automated quality management is living up to its role and meeting pressing needs head on. Competition breeds innovation and new EQMS capabilities, driven by AI, automation and data-driven insights will empower manufacturers everywhere to reach new levels of quality excellence.

ETQ will continue to do our part as a front runner, sprinting toward new levels of quality management automation, keeping pace with our customers and their changing needs and changing our stride when necessary to meet new manufacturing challenges head on.
