EtQ's Development Center Receives ISO 9001 Certification
FARMINGDALE, NY (07-12-07): EtQ has announced that its Development Center has received ISO 9001:2000 certification, after an extensive audit conducted by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance).
EtQ's Development Center is responsible for the development of software platforms and application suites to achieve and maintain compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management system requirements. Part of the objectives of the audit were:
- To confirm that the management system conforms with all the requirements of the audit standard
- To confirm that the organization has effectively implemented the planned management system
- To confirm that the management system is capable of achieving the organization's policy objectives
The scope of the audit is the, "Development Center responsible for the development of software platforms and application suites to achieve and maintain compliance with Quality, Environmental Management and Health & Safety management systems requirements."
After conducting a full audit of the quality management system at the EtQ Development Center, the audit team concluded that EtQ has established and maintained its quality management system in line with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. No discrepancies were found during the audit.
The audit further concluded that EtQ operates a paperless quality management system in an effective manner. The system includes balances and checks to ensure intended results are achieved. The local management displayed high levels of commitment to the quality management system and customer satisfaction.
