Pre-Sales Engineer

EtQ is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer with excellent technical, communication and organizational skills to join our Enterprise sales team. You will work with the team to engage with sales prospects, understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of EtQ products, and address technical questions that arise throughout the sales process. You should be a confident presenter with excellent presentation skills and the ability to persuasively present EtQ's product offering.

Your role will allow you to engage directly with customers on both technical and non-technical levels to ensure superior service as well as interact directly with key support and product personnel to resolve issues. You will work directly with EtQ's sales team to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments.

Travel 50% is a requirement of the job to visit customers and build a quick rapport with them.

Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical major
Three + years experience as a sales engineer or with professional services or systems engineering
Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements
Strong communication skills both written and spoken
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, with initiative to manage customer technical issues to successful conclusion
Outstanding pre-and post-sales account management and follow-through skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
Proven track record of selling, building, and/or deploying technology solutions to Fortune 500/Global 2000

Account Representative

EtQ is looking for a Account Representative to manage the entire sales process for the assigned or self-generated opportunity. He/she will follow-up on completed sale to produce repeat sales to existing customers; prospect for new business and clients; and follow-up on all sales leads assigned. The Account Representative will also establish a sales business plan to achieve the established goals and objectives and meet personal sales quotas; develop account relationships, generally at the division and corporate level; and effectively promote both new and existing products to both current and potential customers. The Account Representative will identify new prospects and business opportunities by making cold calls; by following up on events such as seminars, webinars, and trade shows; and by working with Account Managers to expand existing accounts.

The The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor Degree in Business or any other field beneficial to the sales profession
Has been trained on a solution selling methodology of selling
At least 5 years enterprise software application sales experience
Must have a good understanding of the manufacturing processes in the regulated environment
Be self motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and/or HTML is strongly recommended
Have strong written, oral communication and presentation skills
Have a commanding presence and has a can do/get it done attitude

Entry Level Implementation Consultant

EtQ has an opening for an entry-level consultant. This position is an entry level position suitable for new college graduates with internship experience. The Implementation Consultant will perform training, consulting, report writing, needs analysis, on-site and off-site for the customer for all of the EtQ products as supported by EtQ, Inc. The Consultant may be assigned tasks and/or entire projects at the supervisor’s discretion. This position will also be indirectly responsible in maintaining active contact with customers to ensure that the system in place is working appropriately from a functionality perspective. The Consultant will report directly to the Professional Services Manager.

Travel 60% is a requirement of the job.

The Ideal Candidate for Entry Level Implementation Consultant will possess the following:
Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences
Masters degree is a plus

Quality Implementation Specialist

 
Our Quality Implementation Specialists will lead implementation, configuration, and support our software at various customer sites. The process includes analyzing and documenting customer requirements, installing our software, configuring the software to implement customer requirements, assisting with validation activities and training administrator users and end-users. Although no software coding is required, the quality implementation specialist position is technical and requires constant customer interaction.

This position will also be responsible in maintaining active contact with customers to ensure that the system in place is working appropriately from a functionality perspective. This position will require a candidate to self-manage, self-motivate and be customer centric while handling multiple projects and clients at the same time. Experience implementing ERP, MRP or MES software (SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards) a plus.

Travel 45% to 70% is a requirement of the job.

The Ideal Candidate for Quality Implementation Specialist will possess the following:
Experience in Life Science industry (i.e. pharmaceutical, medical devices, biotechnology, etc.) is a plus
Strong desire to train customers and employees.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills are a plus
Strong analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong technical skills related to applications installation, systems troubleshooting, web page editing, etc.
Familiarity with Quality processes (TQM, Six Sigma, ISO, CMM, etc.) is a plus
Familiarity with project management process is a plus
Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Required Technical Skills:
Extensive experience using Microsoft Office and popular E-mail clients
Extensive knowledge of various Internet/Web technologies and protocols
Strong understanding of HTML and Web front-ends with SQL
Experience with any database management system such as Oracle and/or MS-SQL is a plus


Responsibilities:
Gain expert level understanding of all EtQ products and platforms
Provide pre-sales technical support as appropriate
Heavy interaction and support on the phone or in person with EtQ customers
Travel to clients locations domestically and internationally as required
Understand customer business processes and needs
Perform technical pre-assessment with client's IT personnel and assist in development of risk assessment
Gather client business objectives and translate them into technical requirements
Train and coach clients throughout the implementation process
Ensure that clients complete their implementations on schedule
Create and configure settings necessary within client software to implement EtQ's software so that it meets client requirements
Document issues and best practices relating to specific platforms or configurations
Communicate constantly with customers throughout the contract life-cycle, escalating important issues when applicable
Debug implementation problems and product functionality
Collaborate with the EtQ development team on advanced configuration and facilitate the deployment and integration of functionality developed offsite
Coordinate with EtQ development and technical support teams to ensure timely closure of quality issues
Provide EtQ Project Coordinator with the information needed to maintain customer contact and daily status updates for all outstanding issues

As an Enterprise Sales Executive you will be responsible for:
Selling complex software solutions to senior level executives
Management of a named set of accounts as well as prospecting new opportunities within these accounts
Overall management of prospects, including qualifying, developing and closing them
Perform onsite demonstrations tailored to the prospect’s unique requirements
Excellent and communication skills with the ability to think critically and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Build strong business relationships at multiple levels, particularly senior level management, within the named account base
Tracking all sales activities in the EtQ’s SFA system
Participating in various marketing events, including trade shows and webinars

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven track record of selling software solutions with an average of $250k per deal with an annual sales quota of 1.5 million
Demonstrated ability to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
Ability to understand customers business problems and translate them into our products capabilities, features and benefits
Experience with Solution Selling methodologies is a critical requirement
Experience in selling total software solutions to senior level executives is desirable
Experience in account development and pipeline management is required
Understanding of Regulated industries, with particular emphasis on one of the following is highly desirable: Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Bio-tech
Experience performing onsite software demonstrations of an enterprise product
Strong verbal and written communications
Understanding of Quality Management standards ISO is highly desirable
Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Management standards is desirable
Experience in responding to Requests for Proposals
Position is either based in Farmingdale, NY or Home based
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of Enterprise Sales experience within an enterprise software company
