The nonprofit organization, which is the sole provider of blood to 21 hospitals, provides the blood for nearly 2/3 of organ transplant patients in Virginia, and is one of the largest volunteer efforts in central Virginia. VBS was able to utilize EtQ’s out-of-the-box modules and utilities to automate many of their processes. In addition, VBS’ daily QC reports on its hematology analyzer required a unique business process specific to VBS and VBS operations. Through use of EtQ’s flexible platform, the company was able to configure a new application, which efficiently managed and tracked this particular process. The automated QC application allows a more efficient daily QC process at the locations where these analyzers are installed.
